I was talking about ravens with one of the guys who works at the Sand Flats Recreation Area above Moab, and it seems the area's been discovered by a gang of young ravens. They hang out and wait for you to leave your vehicle, then they mess around with it.
Close-up of the first photo showing the young gangstas in action. Do you know these birds?
Sometimes, if one of the really bad ones gets involved, they even vandalize things. They've been known to peck at the windshield wipers and poke holes in anything left exposed, like camping gear in the back of pickups.
I wonder if they would have the nerve to vandalize this?
I had noticed ravens hanging around, especially in pickups, but had no idea what was going on. I suspect this is not the work of the native birds, but rather a bunch that's come down from the city.
If you recognize any of these guys, please call your local LEOs.
Speaking of bad ass...
(And if you think this is bad, a Canadian reader left the following comment:

I recently had a friend have nearly $20,000 of damages done to his fabric covered airplane when he left it a strip while fishing for a few days and the ravens pecked it full of holes. He had to use duct tape to get home!
